A Hunt: Showdown tournament for fans

Hunt Open Season

An open Hunt: Showdown 1896 tournament. Play the game, log your stats on HopSquad, and the board scores you automatically — hit 150 total points and you're in the draw for a DLC of your choice.

Unofficial fan event. Not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Crytek. "Hunt: Showdown" is a trademark of Crytek. This event just runs alongside the live game, and any prize is a fan-funded gift.

How it works

Play normal Bounty Hunt whenever you want. Log three in-game stats on the HopSquad event and the board scores everyone live. No custom lobbies, no brackets, no schedule to keep.

Lean into your strengths

Your score is the sum of two tracks. Each track is capped at 100, so qualifying for the raffle rewards contributing on both tracks. The board computes all of this automatically from the numbers you submit, you never add up points yourself.

Track 1
Clue ping marker
The Grind
Total Bounty. Rewards playing the objective: find clues, banish, extract.
  • 500 Total Bounty = 1 point (rewards mission objectives completed: inspecting clues, extracting bounties, etc.)
Cap: 100 points
Track 2
Hunter ping marker
The Fight
Teams Wiped + Solo Kills. Rewards winning fights against other players.
  • Team Wipes = 10 points (counts only when you get the last kill against a rival squad)
  • Solo Kills = 2 points (counts only when you're playing solo)
Cap: 100 points combined

Max possible: 200  ·  Raffle ticket at 150

Point values above are provisional for Cycle 1 only. After the Day 5 check-in of the calibration cycle we will pull the average and retune the rate to reach a cap so a committed but healthy hunter tops out around Day 8 or 9. Because the board scores from your raw submitted numbers, a retune re-ranks everyone instantly — nobody re-submits. Then the values are locked for the rest of the Open and frozen per cycle: whatever the ruleset says when a cycle opens is exactly how that cycle is scored.

4 chances to win — A DLC raffle for the top Hunters in every cycle

There's no single "winner takes all."

  1. Qualify by reaching 150 total points.
We add your two track scores (200 max.) and once your total hits 150 points during the cycle, you're a qualifier. That takes strong play across both The Grind and The Fight — maxing a single track (100) isn't enough on its own. The board shows a Qualified ✓ badge next to your name the moment you cross 150, so the pool is public and auditable all cycle.
  2. One winner is drawn from the qualifier pool.
At the end of the cycle. Every qualifier gets one entry — reaching #1 gives you bragging rights, but it doesn't help your odds. You're either in, or you're not.
  3. The winner picks any DLC.
Any DLC available at the official Crytek store — store.crytek.com/dlc, your pick. We deliver it to your Steam account (gift or redeemable code); you'll need a region-compatible Steam account.
  4. One DLC per person across the Open.
Win a cycle and you still play — you'll still appear on the board and can still compete for the flex — but you're taken out of the draw pool for the remaining cycles, so the prizes spread around.
A true hunter shares the bounty.

The draw is done live, in the open. We publish the qualifier list at the end of the cycle, then draw the winner on a livestream by spinning that list on spinwheelnames.com/raffle-picker — everyone watches the full pool and the spin in real time, no host "picking." One entry per qualified, Steam-verified HopSquad account.

If nobody reaches 150 total in a cycle, that cycle's DLC rolls forward to the next cycle's pool.

How to log your score

Your in-game Profile Card

Example HopSquad event submission fields for Total Bounty, Teams Wiped, and Solo Kills

Enter the same numbers on the HopSquad event page

  1. In Hunt, pin these three stats to your Profile Card: Total Bounty, Teams Wiped, Solo Kills.
  2. On the HopSquad event, at each checkpoint, enter your three numbers and attach one screenshot of your full Profile Card — the same pinned card each time — as proof. Hit submit.
  3. Post your Baseline stats first, then log each day (Days 1–10) to climb the board. Every daily submission needs its own proof screenshot (any checkpoint you post can end up being your baseline or your latest, so each one has to stand on its own). You can update a checkpoint before it locks; changing the numbers needs a new screenshot.
  4. Prefer to keep it simple? Just post a Baseline and a Final and skip the days in between — you'll be scored exactly the same. Logging daily is only there so you can watch yourself move up.
  5. Your score is computed from the change between your first and last submitted checkpoints, run through the two capped tracks above.
No Baseline stats submission means you're scored from your first submitted checkpoint. No backdating — once a checkpoint's day has passed and the next has opened, it's closed, so make sure you are there for Baseline and Day 10.

Keep it clean, Hunters

We are here to have fun and compete fairly.

You are competing against your own abilities as much as the other players, so let's keep it civil and fair. No doctoring images or faking numbers, you'd only be lying to yourself (and us, of course, but shame on you).

See you in the bayou.

After login, RSVP to the HopSquad event, set your Steam name on it, pin the three stats to your Profile Card, and submit your Baseline stats when the cycle opens. Verify your email to receive reminders about key event dates.
